Your journey · Scouting
You are scouting files. None deserves an audit yet.
You browse listings, sale platforms, maybe an intermediary or two. Files pile up; no serious contact is under way. This is the moment to screen, not to get attached.
What is at stake right now.
A sale memorandum is a commercial document: it is written to sell. From a distance, almost every file looks fine; the gaps only show up when you read the accounts.
The risk cuts both ways. Burning weeks on files that do not hold up. Or passing on the right one because you could not read it fast enough.
What Diligeo brings at this stage.
That is exactly what the preliminary review is for: from 3 to 20 documents, often just the financial statements, a written opinion delivered within 24–72 business hours that says whether the file deserves a serious first contact, at what price level, and which questions to ask from day one.
You screen on documents, not on the brochure. And you keep your audit budget for the file that will deserve it.
What we do not do at this stage.
- We do not source targets for you: the scouting stays yours.
- We do not issue opinions without documents: the financial statements are the minimum.
- We do not guarantee that a good file will stay good once the data room opens: that is what the next stages are for.
The next step.
Send the documents of a file you are hesitating over. Within days you will know whether it deserves your time.
